Hello. I hope you can join me in celebrating sign language rights for all DeafBlind people and people with disabilities. The WFD Youth Section sincerely acknowledges all those young people who work to improve the quality of life for DeafBlind and people with disabilities through their strategic efforts and advocacy work.
They represent young people in a range of areas such as accessibility for employment, education, accessible sports and community life. The Youth Section also acknowledges the important role youth camps have on teaching and empowering young Deaf people in supporting others to continue this work.
Now it is a time for celebration of the impact that sign language has in people’s lives.
Happy International Week of the Deaf.
