22nd WFDYS BOARD MEETING AND 5TH WFDYS JUNIOR CAMP IN ROME, ITALY

The 22nd WFDYS Board meeting was held from 12 – 20 July 2013, prior to the 5th WFDYS Junior Camp in Rome, Italy.

Total of 67 junior camp participants aged 13 – 17 years and leaders aged 18 – 30 years from 25 countries attended the 5th WFDYS Junior camp, organised by Comitato Giovani Sordi Italiani (CGSI). It was wonderful to get back to the city where the WFD was founded. The WFDYS Board members and the camp participants took a rare opportunity to visit the old WFD legal seat in Rome. We also met with the president and several board members of Ente Nazionale Sordomuti (Italian National Association of the Deaf).

The camp was a success and we hope the particpants grow in self-confidence, learn to work cooperatively with others, and improve their sense of responsibility and independence. We would like to thank to the camp organising committee for organising this camp.
