Want to host a WFD camp? Thinking about what your country has to offer, in beauty, culture, life, style, arts, and more? We decide the location of camps through the Youth General Assembly where delegates vote on the winning bids. To host a camp, a host country has to put in a bid - using the bid form - which will be distributed eight months prior to the Youth General Assembly in 2011. This bid must be placed three months before the Youth General Assembly, and must be signed and authorised by your Ordinary Member or by your Youth Ordinary Member. Any OM/YOM wishing to host a camp must send a youth delegate(s) to attend the Youth General Assembly, to present bids on Children or Jr. Youth Camps. The bidding countries must follow the WFDYS Camp Guidelines. The presentation should include information about your country and your OM/YOM, the camp venue, approximate dates and length of camp, reasons and purposes for having the camp in yoru country, and any other supporting information and material. Note: Additional funding for youth from developing countries will be highly encouraged. All bidding countries will have five minutes to present your bid, and this will be at the Youth General Assembly. Benefits of hosting a camp in your country includes the following: raising awareness among local cultures of Deaf culture, giving the local youth an experience in organising a camp, and in gaining resources for your youth organization (or section) through camps!
